Tragedy was averted, Sunday, when a Boeing 737 plane with over 100 passengers belonging to Aero Contractors had a bust tyre at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, MMA, Lagos. The aircraft, which departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, NAA, Abuja around 9am had a burst tyre on landing at the Lagos Airport. One of the over 100 passengers onboard the plane was the former Minister, federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, Mal. Nasir el-Rufai who tweeted "Upon landing in Lagos, our Aero aircraft lost a tyre. The Lebanese boss who allegedly beat up a pregnant factory worker, causing her to lose her 7-months pregnancy, has been arrested by the Nigerian police. A woman in India has delivered 10 stillborn babies in one night. A 28-year-old Anju Kushwaha, who live is the Satna district of the Madhya Pradesh province, went into labour just 12 weeks into her pregnancy. She delivered nine babies late on Sunday night before she travelled over 125 km to the nearest hospital, where she gave birth to the 10th infant. Her husband Sanjay was carrying with him all the nine premature babies wrapped in a piece of cloth when they arrived. The assistant superintendent of the hospital, Dr. SK Pathak, confirmed this case to the press: "She delivered nine of them midway. Obstetric and NICU team at our hospital helped her to deliver the 10th one in the operation theatre – all were born dead at almost 12 weeks." A Boeing 747 jet belonging to British Airways, yesterday Sunday Dec. 22nd crashed its right wing into an airport building inside the OR Tambo Airport in Johannesburg, South Africa. (Pic above) The flight, which was on its way to London, veered off the taxiway as it headed to the runway and buried its right wing in the 2-storey brick structure, injuring four airport officials, Daily Mail reports. A statement from the South African Civil Aviation Authority's (SACAA) preliminary report, said the aircraft was cleared for takeoff on Runway 03L but took a smaller runway.
